And things are only get more complicated when Fallon develops feelings for a handsome young legionnaire, Cai. Will Fallon be able to win her freedom back and be with the man she loves?

Review

The Valiant is a fantastic historical fantasy-romance. I loved the characters, the forbidden romance and the historical references. This book is amazing because it transports you to the gladiatorial arenas of ancient Rome and offers something that is completely new to YA historical fiction: gladiatrices. I would recommend this book to those who are interested in Ancient Rome and everyone who loves strong female characters.

Neverfell has no memory of anything before the day when she arrived in cheese master Gradible’s tunnels at the age of about five or six. For seven years, Neverfell never left Grandible’s tunnels and wore a mask of black velvet whenever anyone came to visit.
