Summary
Starr is stuck between two worlds. Williamson, the high-end private school she attends, and Garden Heights, the poor neighbourhood where she lives with her family. Everything in her life is divided, from her friends to her personality. Then one night Starr’s life crumbles before her when her childhood best friend is shot by a police officer. Khalil, who was unarmed, was pulled over for seemingly no reason before being killed.
